Everything you want to know about Philotech.

General

Philotech is a security-first managed service provider (MSP) — we combine fully managed IT with dedicated managed security (the MSSP discipline). Two service lines carry that out: PhiloSecure (cybersecurity and disaster recovery) and PhiloWork (PhiloSecure plus fully managed IT — users, devices, and Microsoft 365).
Both — by design. We deliver managed IT like an MSP and dedicated managed security like an MSSP, under one roof. For most small firms that separation is artificial: you need the day-to-day IT run well and the security run seriously, from one accountable partner.
Small and mid-sized firms in regulated or trust-sensitive fields — healthcare, legal, finance and accounting, benefits and TPA, and professional services — that need enterprise-grade protection without an enterprise IT budget.
We are a remote-first MSP and support clients across the U.S. Everything we do — monitoring, help desk, device and identity management — is delivered securely online, so you get the same coverage whether your team is in one office or spread across the country.
It depends on your environment. In the best case we can begin onboarding within a few business days of an initial assessment; more often, a full onboarding takes a few weeks, depending on your size, systems, and what needs to be cleaned up. Urgent security situations are prioritized. Either way, there’s no onboarding fee.

What we support

We support Windows and macOS computers, and Microsoft 365 for email, identity, and collaboration. If you run something else, just ask — we’ll tell you honestly what we can cover.
We secure every device and identity that touches your network, and we manage security at the device and identity level. Physical network hardware — routers, modems, on-site firewalls — is handled by your ISP or a local partner we can coordinate with. It keeps your setup clean and your costs down.
Yes. On either service line, we can secure personal devices — endpoint protection, MFA, and access controls — and manage them through Atera and/or Microsoft Intune, so your team gets secure access without us taking over their personal device. PhiloWork adds deeper device management where licensed.

Security & compliance

Layered protection: managed detection and response on every endpoint, email and web filtering, MFA and access controls, and immutable, ransomware-resistant backups. Advanced and Elite plans add a 24/7 human-staffed SOC that investigates and contains threats in real time.
On Advanced and Elite, our 24/7 SOC detects, contains, and remediates in real time, followed by a clear incident report. On Core, you receive monitoring and alerting, with our team available to respond.
Yes. We build and document controls mapped to HIPAA, SOC 2, FTC Safeguards, and DOL guidelines, and provide the reporting auditors and cyber-insurers ask for. Our own practices are aligned to ISO 27001. For healthcare and other regulated clients, we execute a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (BAA).

Pricing & plans

Simple per-user, per-month pricing across Core, Advanced, and Elite for both PhiloSecure and PhiloWork. No hidden fees, no onboarding fee, cancel anytime.
They are combined by design: PhiloWork already includes all of PhiloSecure’s protection, plus fully managed IT. Most clients who want one accountable partner choose PhiloWork.
Every plan includes the written cybersecurity and recovery documentation your insurers and auditors expect — not an add-on, and not an afterthought.
